We, as the staff, are here to serve you. If you need anything from us please don't hesitate to ask. There are, however, a few rules that we ask that you follow.
Weapons:
As with any convention, theres going to be costumes. If your costume has weapons, make sure it's obvious they're fake. Examples of this would be orange tips on toy guns. No swords, knives or other bladed weapons are allowed. Period. Peacebinding is not an option. This is for your protection as much as the protection of our other guests. Security will not hesitate to aggressively handle a breach of the weapons policy.
Costumes:
While we strongly encourage our guests to come in costume, please keep in mind that, during the day, there may be children present at the convention. Please use common sense when picking a costume. If a director or organizer decides that your costume is innappropriate, you will be asked to change. If a change of clothing is unavailable you will be asked to leave.
Conduct:
We ask that you keep in mind that, while cons are a total blast (especially ours), that you are still in a public place. Shouting obscenities is a very quick and effective way to have yourself removed. The same can be said for the disruption of any event or panel at the convention, through vulgar language or otherwise.
Children:
Nerdacon is a considered a family event until sundown. If you do bring your children to the event please be mindful of them. The venue can become crowded and it may be easy for a child to become lost or disoriented. Any lost child will be brought to the Nerdacon frost desk.
All of that being said. What the staff says goes. Especially organizers and directors.
Nerdacon isn't responsible for lost or damaged property.
By attending Nerdacon you agree to the attendance policy.
